What is agentic AI code review?

Agentic AI code review uses autonomous agents that read a pull request, gather context and act on it, instead of a single model pass over the diff. Vetoo runs a panel of agents in parallel, each reading the change from a different angle, then synthesises their findings into one prioritised verdict.

How does Vetoo review a pull request?

When a pull request opens, Vetoo reviews it automatically and posts a single review: inline comments that flag each issue and show the fix, plus a verdict of approve, comment or request changes. Comment "review this" on the PR to ask for a fresh pass at any time.

Which AI models does Vetoo use?

Vetoo runs agents on a mix of models, including frontier ones, side by side, so no single model decides the review alone. Each one surfaces a different slice of issues, and a separate synthesis step merges everything into one verdict. No model catches everything; a panel catches more.

Does Vetoo store my source code?

No. Vetoo only holds your code while the review runs, encrypted in transit and handled in isolation, and it is gone once the verdict lands. Review comments and their metadata are kept for a limited time so conversations and team memory keep working, but your source code is never retained.

Can I customise how Vetoo reviews my code?

Yes. Commit a VETOO.md file to your repository root and Vetoo folds it into every review: calibrate severity, steer the voice, emphasise the areas that matter to you, even ask for extras like diagrams. Voting on findings tunes future reviews as well, per repo and per team.

Does Vetoo work with GitLab?

Yes. Vetoo reviews pull requests on GitHub and merge requests on GitLab, and posts inline comments on the diff in both, each with a clear severity and a one-line fix hint. GitHub connects through the GitHub App in a couple of clicks; GitLab connects through OAuth or a personal access token.

How does Vetoo learn my team’s preferences?

Vote any finding up or down right in the pull request. Downvoted findings are suppressed in future reviews of that repo. Overnight, Vetoo consolidates the day’s scattered feedback: recurring signals connect into durable patterns and one-off noise drops away, so reviews keep moving closer to how your team actually works.

Can I ask Vetoo questions about its review?

Yes. Reply to any finding, or mention @vetoo in a comment, and it answers in the thread, scoped to your diff. Ask why something was flagged, push back on a finding you disagree with, or ask for a fresh review pass.

What programming languages does Vetoo support?

Vetoo is language agnostic. The agent panel reviews any language the underlying models understand, which covers every mainstream language and most niche ones. Review instructions, conversations and team memory work the same way regardless of language or framework.
